AZCARE WARM LINE
NAZCARE sponsors a statewide Warm Line that callers can utilize from the hours of 4:30pm − 10:30pm
Monday through Thursday and 3:00pm − 10:30pm Friday through Sunday.
Trained Warm Line Mentor staff offer callers active listening skills, coping skills when requested,
and make referrals to resources and crisis services to cities and counties throughout Arizona.

If you are in need of support, feeling overwhelmed, or just want to talk, our caring staff are available
to provide non-judgmental and confidential telephone services. Warm Line staff are certified in Peer
Support Training, and experienced in discussion and support related to a broad range of issues surrounding wellness and recovery.

Peer Recovery Team
The Peer Recovery Team provides individual and group peer support within Desert Vista Hospital (Mesa and Phoenix Annex) as
well as one-to-one peer support in the community for individuals recently discharged from Desert Vista and the Recovery
Innovations Recovery Response Center Peoria. The Peer Recovery Team focuses on and supports each individual’s recovery/sobriety goals upon transition from the
hospital to their own home. The primary goal of the Peer Recovery Team is to provide support to individuals within their
home environment/community so that they do not need to go back to the hospital.

Circle of Friends
Circle of Friends provides a wide range of recreational and socialization activities throughout the Phoenix area. Individuals
actively participate in meaningful activities, create new friendships, build support networks, and learn about a wide range
of community resources/supports to help further their own recovery.

Peer Support Groups
All of CHEEERS' peer support programs are led by state certified Peer Support Specialists who understand the path to recovery but
more importantly, the possibilities for the future. Our staff has personal experience with mental illness and/or substance abuse
and we build strong supportive relationships with our participants. We even offer Peer Support Training, so our participants can move on to help others.
​ CHEEERS' Peer Group Programs range from one-on-one mentoring to group classes. Our team has adopted and developed programs that specifically
